GMO Testing
Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are organisms in which the genetic material (DNA) is altered by transformation (e.g., herbicide tolerance (Round Up Ready) or insect protection (Bt) to the crop).
Ocimum offers customized transgenic plant analysis and characterization, both qualitative (presence or absence of genetically modified material within an organism)and quantitative (how much genetically modified component is present) using PCR, ELISA and Third Wave Technologies.
We have developed novel methodologies to detect Round up Ready and Bt traits in Soybean, Corn and Cotton and our tests are capable of detecting GM-DNA, if present at or above 0.1%.
We also provide certified Quantitative PCR service for Herculex® and WideStrike™ family of products by Dow AgroSciences, LLC.
