ISMB 2005, Detroit

The 13th Annual International Conference on Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology was hosted June 25-29 by the University of Michigan Bioinformatics Program as well as the Michigan Center for Biological Information and chaired by Professors David J. States and Brian D. Athey. ISMB 2005 provided a forum for disseminating the latest developments in bioinformatics. This multidisciplinary conference brought together scientists from molecular biology, medicine, computer science, mathematics and statistics. ISMB was a great success for Ocimum Biosolutions as it bought Ocimum Biosolutions to the attention of a lot of academics and research institutions along with commercial biotech and pharma companies.

Bio-IT World 2005, Boston

Bio-IT World Conference + Expo is the leading event to demonstrate how technology is transforming the life sciences throughout all discovery and development processes. Bio-IT World Conference + Expo 2005 edition was held in Boston on May 17-19, 2005 at Boston's Hynes Convention Centre. This event attracted pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, government and life sciences professionals who came to learn how technology tools for the life sciences can drive efficiencies, create opportunities and increase profitability within their organizations. The event featured an exhibit hall packed with over 90 of the most innovative companies serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, government and life sciences industries. Ocimum also showcased its Bio IT capabilities here. Ocimum Biosolutions participated along with the government of Andhra Pradesh under the India pavilion and got a huge response for being an integrated genomics solution provider. Bangalore Bio 2005, Bangalore

Bangalore Bio is India's biggest biotech show. The fifth edition of this premier biotechnology event in India was held on April 22-24, 2005 and was inaugurated by renowned Nobel Laureate Dr. Sydney Brenner. Bangalore Bio 2005 saw participation by 15 countries and nine Indian states and there were 110 exhibitors. Ocimum Biosolutions launched the brand name “OciChips” during this show. Ocimum Biosolutions also did two technology showcase workshops, one on OciChips and another on Data Management for biotech and pharma companies.

ToxExpo 2005, New Orleans

The Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting is the largest toxicology meeting and exhibition in the world, attracting approximately 6,000 scientists from industry, academia, and government.The program includes a plenary and other special lectures, symposia, workshops, round table discussions, and platform and poster presentations. The 44th Annual Meeting of SOT was held at the Ernest Morial Convention Center, New Orleans during the week of March 6-10, 2005. Ocimum Biosolutions also participated in it, highlighting Toxchek™ and other preclinical capabilities along with Clintox Bioservices.
