Dr. A. R. Reddy received his Ph.D from Osmania University and Post Doctoral training at Iowa State University, USA and The Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is currently a Professor of life sciences at the University of Hyderabad. He has over 20 years of teaching and research experience in Genetics, Plant Molecular Biology and Plant Biotechnology, and Functional Genomics.

His research interests are in Molecular and Genetic Analysis of Stress Responsive Pathways in Rice, Genetic Engineering of Flavonoid Pathway and Epicuticular wax biosynthesis pathway for Improved Disease Resistance and Drought Tolerance, QTL for drought tolerance and Functional Genomics of rice. He has a major genomics research project funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, USA., and His group has already sequenced and analyzed more than 3000 clones of rice and deposited in GenBank. He has a large number of publications in peer-reviewed international journals. He has been a visiting professor at the Max Planck Institute, Koln, Germany and also Purdue University with which he maintains a strong research collaboration in the area of Functional Genomics.

Prof. R. Bhaskaran has a PhD from IIT Madras. He is currently Director of Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala at Trivandrum. Before moving to IIITMK he was Dean Continuing Education and Principal QIP Coordinator. He had been with IIT Kharagpur for over two decades, as Professor & Head, Training and Placement. During this period he had the privilege of serving on the Finance Committee and Board of Governors of IIT Kharagpur for two years as Member, of looking after the Technology Foundation of the Institute as Managing Director for three years and as Chairman or Member of a number of academic and administrative committees at the Institute. He is also a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers India and Life Member of ISTE and ISTD. The current interests of Prof.Bhaskaran are in Industry-Institutional linkages, recruitment and human resource management.

Dr. H. N. Acharya is the Head, Physics Department at IIT Kharagpur. He has a rich and veritable experience in teaching and research accumulated over the past 33 years. He has led 22 research projects including 3 in progress that account for grants over Rs. 37.5 million. He has 130 publications in peer reviewed journals and proceedings of different fora.

He has 11 patents to his credit and he has filed for six more patents. He has commercialized three processes. His Doctoral and Masters students are in leadership positions in academia and industry throughout the world. At present he is active in setting up a state of the art laboratory on optical fiber in order to facilitate characterization and fabrication of optical fibers needed in communication, high speed data transmission, sensors used in industry and medicine.

Dr. A. Acharya, received a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He did his postdoctoral work at the University of Maryland at College Park. He then moved on to the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. He is currently at Google Inc.

He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur. He has a large number of publications in peer reviewed journals in areas such as Parallel Computing, Active Disks, Compilers and Language implementations, Network Services and Networking, Mobile Programs and other areas.

Dr. R. Pazhyannur, received a Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996. He also has a Masters degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago in 1999. Since 1996, he has been with the Network Solutions Sector of Motorola in Arlington Heights, where he currently holds the position of Principal Staff Engineer.

His duties include system design/architecture of new cellular products and other advanced development activities. His major research interests are Quality of Service, WLAN-Cellular Integration, and Radio Resource Management. He has over 15 publications in journals and conferences, and holds one US patent. He is also a co-author of RFC- 3153, PPP Multiplexing.
