Genowiz™

It does a nice job of visualizing microarray data. The data are displayed as a heat map, plot of individual gene intensity and sample description information. Genes are linked directly to the literature, as well as to GO (for DAG display) and to metabolic pathways. Genowiz supports several features, for instance it is possible to sort by gene intensity, mean or stdev, or by geneID or description. The data can be filtered on the basis of replicated genes, non-significant genes, stdev, mean, fold change; genes and probes with missing values can be removed. The data can be adjusted on the basis of either genes or samples, by mean/median centering, by dividing by mean / median, by Z-transformation, log and anti-log transformations, or can be adjusted to a baseline. Genowiz supports global and loess normalizations, and dye swaps Several clustering methods are provided, K-means, hierarchical, SOM PCA can be computed on either genes or samples, a unique feature here, as far as I know. The data can be plotted as scatter plot or heat map or histogram.

Data analysis (storage, integration, annotation, statistical analysis and clustering) is a challenging task in this uncharted area of translational genomics. Ocimum Biosolutions has the tools to tackle the complexity.
